Paragraph 1 (they say): Synthesize Raymond Williams theory of culture with either Gloria Anzaldas How to Tame a Wild Tongue OR  Belle Yangs The Language of Dreams. Identify a question or point on which you can put the two in conversation: a point of agreement or disagreement, or where one author can add something to the others argument. Be sure to fully introduce the authors and the essay titles, and summarize their main point. Also include at least one quote, sufficiently introduced, cited, and explained. Paragraph 2 (I say): Respond to what they say. Be sure to transition into this paragraph; you should be responding to the question or insight that concludes Paragraph 1. Your response should be well-supported ,and you may refer directly back to Williams, Anzalda, and/or Yang. The goal here isnt simply to agree or disagree with each author and state why, but to develop what you say out of conversation with the other two.
