In addition to Richard and Dave, who are the other subjects in their various activity systems? What types of tools do they use? What are some of their spoken and unspoken rules? What does the division of labor look like, and their communities? Lastly, what are their motives for doing these activities and what sorts of outcome are they hoping to achieve?
