One question seems to emerge over and over again in any study of poverty in America. That question is, How can so much poverty, deep poverty even, exist in the richest country in the world? Using statistical data show that the question is legitimate, explain how it happened by analyzing the politics and economics that have played a role in allowing that poverty to exist, and offer corrective suggestions. Try to integrate important peace studies concepts into your answer to show that you know how peace studies and poverty are linked.
