Identify a current event that relates to families and family policy (i.e., you may find a new story about same sex marriage, adoption, divorce, child welfare, caregiving, etc.).  Describe the event and cite the source of information, identify the policy implicated or the policy needed as a result of the event.  You can propose a policy, propose revision to an existing policy, support a policy (i.e. the event proves the need) or propose the policy should be eliminated.  This paper should be 3 to 4 pages, APA style plus cover page and references.
