Students will chose a disability topic relevant to rehabilitation counseling and human services.

Students may choose any type of disability, such as physical, emotional, cognitive, developmental, etc. (e.g. visual and hearing impairments, mental illness, PTSD, anxiety, depression, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, etc.) Students should receive prior approval for their paper topic from the course instructor.

Your final product will be APA formatted, double-spaced, paper exploring the topic of your choice, providing you receive preliminary approval from the course instructor. (Cover page, Abstract page, and Reference page are not counted in the page length. If you are not familiar with APA format, there are many resources and a template included in our course documents for reference and to help you do well on the paper. Proper format is required. Additional APA resources are listed in the syllabus under the textbook information.
