Paragraph 1: Introduction- Introduce the topic and allow the reader to see why this is important. Provide background information to the reader. Then, lead the reader to understand your perspective. Be sure that you do not use any personal pronouns. (Stay away from using you)
Paragraph 2: Reason 1/ Point 1- Give the first reason, and then support your reason with statistics, testimonials, facts, and examples. Be sure to use MLA in text citations.
Paragraph 3: Reason 2/ Point 2- Give the next reason, and then support your reason with statistics, testimonials, facts, and examples. Be sure to use MLA in text citations.
Paragraph 4: Reason 3/ Point 3- Give the final reason, and then support your reason with statistics, testimonials, facts, and examples. Be sure to use MLA in text citations.
Paragraph 5: Conclusion- Close your essay by summarizing the points made within the body paragraphs. Extend on any one points made earlier within the text. Make sure that you do not introduce any new information. Afterwards, make sure that the reader is clear about your stance. Bring the message home by perhaps explaining how this topic affects the reader. You may call for action from the viewer (be sure to avoid personal pronouns). In closing, make sure that you leave the reader with a strong argument to consider.
