The article must represent qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and will focus on applications (quasi-experimental research, experimental research, descriptive research, action research, evaluative research, etc.) that are appropriate to your field. These articles must come from peer-reviewed journals and either be selected or approved by the instructor of record. Each critique will consist of a summary of the purpose, methodology, results, and discussion sections of the article. The second section will include a narrative reaction to the article and the potential implications for classroom use and your research. The reaction may include a discussion of the articles appropriateness in answering the proposed research hypotheses or questions, suggestions for alternate research methodology, and implications for further research.
I am attaching a sample article critique that the professor gave the students to follow and the article to read. The first paragraph is the APA citation of the article.
The second paragraph is the Purpose and need for the study.
The third paragraph is Participants and instruments.
The fourth paragraph is Analysis planned.
The five-paragraph is Results.
And the last paragraph is Discussion and implications.
