Apple plans to grant restricted stock to hourly and salaried workers, including retail workers, who make up half of its workforce, and call center workers. To assist the company to promote the policy, the human resources department can do is: to promote the stock incentive plan, the human resources department can through social media, job site, and E-mail to potential candidate or candidates for promotion of the project, in addition, the company’s official website also needs to be updated, the stock incentive plan in the company website conspicuous place, at the time of new employee orientation, induction manual, provide employees with a need to include about stock incentive plan detail.
(2) If you worked in Apples HR department, what kind(s) of individual incentives would you use? Would these be in addition to the stock incentives or in place of the stock rewards? Explain.
Since the performance of an organization is directly proportional to its stock price, incentives should be adopted to improve the performance of employees. Give employees shares of the company based on their performance and make them work hard for their shares.Financial incentives are also important, with benefits and commissions based on performance. The recognition of the employee’s work, intangible incentives are also incentive factors, such as verbal praise, honorary titles awarded according to performance. Of course, these incentive policies are in addition to the stock incentive policies, in other words, in order to better cooperate with the implementation of stock incentive policies.

2. how can apple’s HR department promote the success of its program of stock grants?
Employees are the assets of its company, which help company to turn down the turnover rate. Thus, human resources department has the responsibility to promote stock allocation strategy in order to better motivate employees. With a huge number of employees have chance to be rewarded restricted shares, HR department need to cake relevant data recording of every shares in order to make a right remuneration performance. At the same time, related explanation of stock grants is also important. Employees want to know the detail of the stock such as how much per share, when can be expired and how. Thus, HR department could make related promotional materials to support employees understanding and this is also improved incentive system.

If you worked in Apples HR department, what kind(s) of individual incentives would you use? Would these be in addition to the stock incentives or in place of the stock rewards? Explain.
There are two kinds of incentive methods: monetary and Non-monetary, which stock reward belongs to monetary. Monetary rewards are external and are given to an employee by a representative of the company. Whether it is a paycheck, a bonus, accrued vacation days, a gift card or anything else with a cash value, it is considered monetary. However, it is not enough to motivate employees in workplace. Thus, non-monetary should also be concentrate. Non-monetary external rewards are equally important factors in employee job satisfaction. Simple non-monetary rewards can impact an employee’s morale and confidence. Praise from supervisor, receipt of an employee-of-the-month award all present a sense of pride and accomplishment. The simple act of a manager thanking an employee while shaking his hand can reap monumental benefits on the work front. An employee who feels a sense of accomplishment carries it to his next assignment. Thus, I strongly encourage that HR department should combine both monetary and non-monetary together in order maximize the motivation of employees.
